Rangers/ Girl Guides Uganda Project

To help with the installation of water supplies and the building of a shelter for two charities Watsan and Chilli Children
The rangers will be providing their labour for free but need to raise money for the project their basic travel and basic accommodation to/from and in Uganda as well as the cost of materials. The minimum they each need to raise is £2,800, but the more each can raise the more they can do for the charities and people of South West Uganda. Short details of the charities are set out below.

Watsan
A charity that installs water stand pipes and sanitation in South West Uganda.
Many Ugandans have had to walk miles with heavy jerricans on their heads to collect water from polluted water holes. Watsan provides clean water at stand pipes but the cost of installing running water from clear mountain springs is high.

Chilli Children
A small charity providing help to orphaned and disabled children in South West Uganda. The intention is for the rangers to help with the erection of a building to serve as a centre for such children. The charity is called Chilli as families are encouraged to grow chillies which they sell to provide an income
